About the place

ANP PORT AGADIR

Overview:

The Port of Agadir is located on the Atlantic Coast at the coordinates '25 °30 West and '38 ° 9 East; 35 km south of Cap Ghir.

The port is connected to Essaouira via the main road No. 8 and to Marrakech via the main road No. 4, and this port has two main corridors leading to the two entrances of the port.

Thanks to its hinterland, Port Agadir plays an important role in the development of the national economy. It is also a natural outlet for agri-food activities in the Souss-Massa Plain and for its fishery resources.

Port Agadir, which was designated mainly for fishing in the past, has gradually turned into a port complex that includes a fishing port, a commercial port and a marina.

The port was initially built as a Portuguese barrier, and in 1917 AD it became a haven for the local fishing fleet, and since then until today it has not stopped expanding into a port complex with various activities.
