Overview
Tourists can see this huge palace and its wonderful gates, but it is not possible neither to enter inside the palace nor to approach even few hundred meters.
You can enjoy a walk around the walls of the palace only, as it is surrounded by heavy guard from the intelligence, army and police.
It is also called "Dar Al Makhzen", which is the primary and official residence of the King of Morocco.
This palace was built on the ruins of another palace from the eighteenth century.
King’s mosque itself is facing the palace, and between the palace and the mosque there is the large Al-Mashwar Square, where loyalty celebrations and official celebrations are held.
As for workers of the palace, they live in houses in the villages surrounding the palace.
It is forbidden to take pictures there near the palace.
It is one of the most important architectural masterpieces that the city of Rabat is characterized by, as it has wonderful and panoramic views of the Moroccan heritage and civilization.
