Overview:
• The headquarters of the Metropolitan of Beirut and its dependencies, and the center of the Archdiocese of Beirut (founded by "Apostle Quartus", one of the seventy apostles in the first century of Christianity).
Architectural description:
• The lower western wing of the current archdiocese building was built in 1860 (Achrafieh - Archdiocese Street = Sursock Street).
Historic overview:
• The headquarter was formerly in the Cathedral of St. George (Nejmeh Square), but the "Triangle of Mercy of Bishop Erothos" built in 1860 the lower western wing of the current archdiocese building (Achrafieh - Archbishopric Street = Sursock Street).
• Metropolitan Elias Odeh built a church in one of the archdiocese's gardens in the name of Saints Anthony the Great and Porphyrios.
