Mikhail Frunze Museum
Overview:
It is located in Bishkek, this three-floor museum documents the life of the Bishkek-born Bolshevik leader who named the city during the Soviet era.
It contains many pictures that illustrate the aspects of daily life in the city in the past.
It is said that it was the birthplace of Mikhail Vasilievich Frunze, who lived between 1885-1925.
The city of Bishkek was named "Frunze" shortly after his death in his honour, then the city returned to its current name.
Although there is little information left for us about Frunze in English, even without clear texts, there are many pictures that illustrate and describe both Bishkek and the Bolshevik Revolution and explain to us Frunze's heroic role in it.
