Old Bridge Museum
Overview:
The Old Bridge Museum is located in the Old City, specifically inside the Tara Tower, which is one of the defense towers that guard both sides of the Stari Most Bridge.
It was opened in 2006 to celebrate the second anniversary of the bridge's reconstruction.
The museum consists of three sections, the first section consists of five floors, so you can climb the tower and see a group of artifacts that were discovered during the process of rebuilding the bridge, with diagrams that list the main historical events associated with the old bridge.
In the second section, you will see archaeological remains that were discovered at the bottom of the tower, including the remains of two wooden bridges belonging to the period prior to the construction of the stone bridge and the base of the old bridge. The third section is known as the “Labyrinth” and it includes a photographic exhibition dedicated to the old bridge and its reconstruction phase with a group of interesting shows around the old bridge.
