Overview:
Sheikh Faleh Bin Nasser Al Thani Library, a large part of which was sold to the Emirates, and the rest was donated to the Qatar University Library.
Sheikh/ Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani was born in Doha, in the last years of the 19th century.
He studied at the hands of most of the sheikhs of Qatar, especially Sheikh / Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Manea, as well as the sheikhs and scholars of Saudi Arabia.
He was also one of the most famous pearl merchants in Qatar and the Gulf, but throughout his life he remained a jurist and researcher in manuscripts and books, which he paid special and great care, spending fortunes and money on their acquisition, in various fields and topics, and therefore his library in Doha was a destination for researchers and students of science.
Sheikh Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani presented these references, manuscripts, precious publications and periodicals as a gift to mosques, science houses, cultural centers and universities in the Arab world, including Qatar University in the seventies.
