Lusail Circuit Sports Club
Overview:
Lusail Circuit Sports Club is a club that operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
Built in 2004, the LCSC is 5.38kms long with a track width of 12 meters. It has 16 corners – right 10 and left 6. The longest straight is 1.068m, running alongside the venue’s Main Grandstand.
The first day race was staged in 2004 but four years later, the LCSC welcomed the MotoGP riders for the first ever night race. Since then, all major race events are usually staged after sunset.
The club aims to achieve efficiency, effectiveness and optimum utilization of the Lusail International Circuit, and to develop it, in coordination with the concerned authorities. It also aims to enhance the practice and dissemination of mechanical sports, and create the necessary means and services to engage in all activities, competitions, events and events related to these sports, for the benefit of club members in particular and the Qatari community in general.
