Hamad International Airport is located south of the capital of Doha, and it was opened on April 30, 2014.
Hamad International Airport is named after the former Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Hamad International Airport became the first airport in the Middle East to receive the Skytrax Award for Best Airport in the World for 2021 IN the 2021 World Airport Awards.
