About the place

Tajrish Traditional Bazaar

Overview:

Tajrish Bazaar is located in the heart of Tajrish historical neighborhood, north of the capital, Tehran.

- Tajrish Bazaar is one of the highlights of your trip to Tehran. Tajrish means arrow or pointed and probably this name is due to the mountainous terrain adjacent to the bazaar.

- Tajrish bazaar has a very old structure. Some of its facilities were built more than 200 years ago, and were built again during the Qajar dynasty.

- It is registered as a national monument of Iran.

- When you reach the bazaar, you will be greeted by a long corridor lined with brown bricks, which was popular with many people at that time.

- The bazaar is filled with a wide variety of foods such as nuts, dried dairy products, fruits, pickles, spices and rock candy (saffron plant).

- The bazaar contains a wide variety of goods, such as beads, fabrics, glassware, electronic devices, perfumes, toys, gold and silver jewelry, copper plates, silk and cotton scarves, and many more.

- Shop owners collect their goods in front of their stores, on trays and carefully packed bags, to provide the best suitable environment for travelers. Not to mention that the best souvenirs you could buy there are finely engraved local plates.
