The internal Market in Kuwait is one of the oldest and most important old commercial markets in Kuwait. The wood-roofed market extends from Seif Palace (the seat of government) on the Arabian Gulf Street to Bin Duaij Market, which was later known as Al-Amir Street. The market, which included the shops of major merchants and sold all kinds of goods, assumed a prominent position as the most important shopping center for the residents of Kuwait for more than two centuries.
