Maritime museum

Overview:

• This museum is called the Maritime Museum, because it codifies many accounts of the island's maritime history, and provides tourist and marine information related to sailing in the state's sea.

Museum contents: 

• It consists of two floors, one of which is used as a showroom for the history of the navy in Indonesia and the state of Jakarta, and there are large windows built in the old style, which are for ventilation of the place.

• Jakarta Museum contains thousands of tools, which were used by fishermen and sailors during their trips, as well as tools that were used during popular gatherings, as a kind of Indonesian folklore, as well as marine exhibits such as antique boats, they differ in their forms, history, how they were used, and the areas of their establishment. One of the most famous boats in it, which distinguishes the state, is the "Lancang Kuning boat".

• Jakarta Museum is also adorned with a large collection of paintings and pictures that include pictures of characters that influenced the marine history of Jakarta, as well as pictures of animals and plants that have a role in marine life, dating back to centuries old.
