Overview:
• "Besakih Temple" is one of Bali's most important religious archaeological landmarks. It is the largest and most ancient of the nine temples, as its history dating back to about a thousand years, and its area, which extends to include about 86 temples and 28 buildings in one complex.
• The importance of the temple also comes from its privileged location at the foot of the highest mountain peak in Bali Islands, Mount Agung Peak.
• The temple is located at a height of 1,000 meters above sea level on the southwestern slopes of Mount Agung.
