Overview:
• The Church of St. Paul is located in At Tabbaleh area, outside the ancient wall of the city of Damascus, near Bab Kisan and Bab Sharqi.
Historic overview:
• The importance of this church is due to the fact that St. Paul had a dream in this place according to the opinion of some historians, after he escaped from the hands of the pagan Romans, he sought refuge in a cave in this place called St. Paul's Grotto.
• The final shape of the place, which was supervised by the engineer "Farid Awad", was opened according to a plan drawn up by "Italio Vessi", on June 23, 1971.
• The church from the inside is rich in its drawings and artistic relics, and it is the work of Italian artists.
• It takes the form of a tent as a symbol of the meeting of Christians under one roof.
