Historic overview:
• Its old name was Al-Khanqa Al-Younisiah. It was built in the Mamluk era in the year 784 AH. Only the facade of Al-Khanqa remains today, overlooking Al-Bahsa. The mosque was renovated in 1931 AD.
Architectural description:
• The courtyard of the mosque is furnished with modern mosaics. In the middle is a small pool of water, and in the south, there is a portico. The front side has four windows overlooking the portico, a walnut wood door, a wooden minbar and a modern mihrab made of white stone.
• The ancient stones of the shrine were used in building this mihrab after the writing on it was removed. To the east of the mihrab is the dome of the shrine and it has 16 louvers and another 16 louvers above them. The tomb was removed and the dome was joined to the Qibliya, and the tomb was moved to a room under the Qibliya land.
• The "Tawosiah" mosque bridge is adjacent to many buildings that were called "Tawosiah" buildings, and were established more than half a century ago. The bridge and the mosque can be seen from their balconies.
