Overview:

• It is known as the Karim Al-Din Mosque or Al- Karimy in relation to its builder and Al-Qubaybat Mosque.

It is located in Al Midan Al-Fawqani, east of the main road, opposite Hammam Al-Darb.

• It was built by Judge Karim Al-Din bin Abdul Karim bin Heba Allah, the special agent of the Sultan in the Levant. He was a Coptic and converted to Islam as an old man. King Al-Nasir brought him close to him until he became the third man in the state after the Sultan and his deputy in the Levant Tankiz.

Historic overview:

• He ordered its construction on the tenth of Safar in the year 718 AH and it was started immediately and it was completed in Sha'ban of the same year, and the first sermon in it was on the 17th of Sha'ban, one week after the completion of the Tankiz Mosque.

• He bought for it a river and drew the river to the mosque, and they planted trees on it, and he made a large basin next to the mosque for people and livestock to drink from.

• The mosque was demolished more than once, after which it was restored. The Department of Islamic Endowments also renewed it in the year 1350 AH / 1931 AD and built shops for it on the main street. The courtyard, its corridors, and the northern facade of the archaeological Haram were also restored around the years 2006-2007 AD.

• The mosque's courtyard is wide and square, and in its middle, there is a large polygonal fountain pool, which is built of turquoise stone, with a stone fountain in the middle.
