Overview:

• It is located north of the city of Damascus on a mountain called Al-Arba'in, which is an extension of Mount Qasioun towards the east, and a resident of Damascus can see it.

Architectural description:

• Description of the mosque: It is a mosque consisting of two floors, in the lower floor are small rooms and an open space, but the most prominent thing in the lower floor is the blood cave.

• There is a crack in the cave from which drops of water fall, and the legend says that Cain killed his brother Abel in this place, so the mountain gasped for the horror of the crime, and the cave appeared in the form of a mouth as a result of the gash of the mountain.

• A small mosque was built on the cave many centuries ago and restored several times by the Ministry of Awqaf. In addition to the building from the outside, there is an old tank in the form of a large room that is filled with water in times of rain.
