Overview:
• On the road between the city of Hama and Masyaf, the beholder is attracted by an integrated architectural masterpiece with its crimson pink color. It is the archaeological Deir al-Salib (Monastery of the Cross), in the center of which is a large church and a group of burials.
• The monastery courtyard is square in shape. It is separated from the ground level by six degrees and its arches were built in the Roman style with a unique design.
• A women's section was allocated on the second floor of the monastery, built in the style of Byzantine rites in the fifth and sixth centuries.
