Dalyan Town in Muğla Province located between the well-known districts of Marmaris and Fethiye, on the south-west coast of Turkey. It is an independent municipality.
It is characterized by its location on many natural places as İztuzu Beach, beside many tourist places, also there are tourist attractions as restaurants and the entrainment places.
It has many beautiful and wide green areas, the town depends on agriculture and hunting to gain the live.
İztuzu Beach characteristics:
Dalyan achieved international fame in 1987 when developers decided to build a luxury hotel on the İztuzu Beach.
The beach became an environmental protection area to save the endangered sea turtle after the investment business in the region. Dalyan considers one of the most important environmental protection areas.
In 2008, the beach awarded Europe's Best Open Space prize and in 2011, Europe's Best Beach Destination prize.
The beach is famous for Caretta Caretta turtles that is an endangered sea turtles, Caretta Caretta Sea turtles have been living on earth for 45 million years. The sea turtles lay their eggs from May to October.
