Overview:
The Ramadan cannon (Madfa') is one of the aspects that characterizes the holy month form other months. Although it stopped about 4 years ago, but it is a part of the Ramadan memory details for many residents of Mecca, and also the visitors and pilgrims who were waiting to hear its sound before their Iftar the whole Days of Ramadan.
The mountain where the cannon (Madfa') is located was called the "Madafe' Mountain", where it gained its fame from it, and this Mountain extends to Qaeqqan Mountain, which is known as one of the mountains of Al-Akhshebin in Mecca.
Current location:
The cannon (Madfa') is located on a small area that does not exceed 10 × 10 square meters, overlooking Jarwal neighbourhood, and overlooks all neighbourhoods of Mecca, where television cameras films it at the moment of its launch, while announcing the time for Iftar in synchronization with azan Al-Maghrib.
