Overview

The cemetery was existed in 1519 when Portuguese attack Jeddah.

It was known During the Second World War, there is the grave of an unidentified British soldier killed in the second World War, when any British consul visits it he puts the wreaths, also there is a grave of Australian person buried in 1885 and a German person buried in 1912.

It is about 1000 meters square; it is located in Al-Balad District in Jeddah.

The financial supervision of the site is the responsibility of Western consulates in Jeddah.

Portuguese Cemetery contains 300 graves; most of them are childeren’s tombs.

Muslims can only enter with authorization.
