Basus War
The cause of the battle:
There were conflicting opinions about the place where the Basus war took place, which was between the two tribes Taghlab and Bakr and continued for forty years before the birth of the Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace -.
The battle location:
It appears that it took place in Wadi Al-Khaitan, which is about 20 kilometers away from Baljurashi Governorate, and it is linked with the governorate by aqaba that links the plains of Tihama with Al-Sarat and it is called aqabat alabnaa'. The evidence is that the valley is near Yemen and what happened from events with the king Al Yamani and their travel to him. The presence of some names that may be close to the truth since ancient times, such as the well of Basus which is a site located in Wadi Al-Khaitan, and the inhabitants of the valley and herdsmen know it with this name from ancient times, and the grave of Kulaib, which was already in this region, and the elderly still remember it. The grave was seventeen feet in length, and it contained three sculptures, one of which indicates the chest of the grave and the other two scattered on the legs, and its sculptures were very large, and the largest was on the chest of the grave, and there are some manuscripts on it in Arabic script, then it was removed by the company that created the cable car station.
There are other things that may indicate the truth of the place in which the events took place, including the so-called Wadi Al Hasa and Jandal and a place called (Barhat Al-Muhalhal) which are known from ancient times, and the presence of a grave called from ancient times (Yamamah Grave) and related to Yamamah Bint Kulaib, and many graves were found, in large numbers, and tombs of strange shapes, some of which were built, and some of which had other shapes.
