Expedition of Abdullah ibn Jahsh to Nakhla

Historic overview:

Nakhla which means a palm Tree. This place was mentioned in the expedition of Abdullah ibn Jahsh. The Messenger wrote to Abdullah ibn Jahsh a message, in which he said: go ahead until Nakhla, and watch Quraysh in order to know their news.

They are two Nakhla, which are Nakhlet Al Shamyia and Nakhlet Al Yamaniya. What is meant here is Al Yamaniya, because it is on the old road between Mecca and Taif.

Current location:

Nakhla Al Yamaniya: It is a valley from Al Hijaz Valleys, which is one of the two divisions of Dhahran, that takes the waters of Had'at Al Taif, and takes the old Taif road, and Najd road from Mecca, which was taken by the Messenger of God in the Battle of Taif. To summarize the two Nakhla, Yamaniya and Shamiya, meet around 43 kilometres from Mecca, in the northeast.
