Expidition of Abu Ubaidah ibn Al-Jarrah to the coast
Historic overview:
The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent Abu Ubaidah ibn Al-Jarrah with three hundred men from immigrants (Al Mohajren) and supporters (Al Ansar) including Omar bin Al-Khattab to a neighbourhood from Juhaina on the sea coast. It was said that they went to observe Quraysh caravan, and between them and the city five nights, so they were very hungry on the way, so they ate what fell from the leaves of the trees.
