Al-Yamama Battle
Overview:
The Battle of Al Yamama is one of the apostasy wars. One of the fiercest battels.
The Battle of Yamamah took place at the time of Abu Bakr’s caliphate in 11A.H ,between muslims and Banu Hanifa; the tribe of Musaylamah al-Kaddhab a false prophet, ended with a great victory for muslims army and Musaylamah al-Kaddhab was killed and also many great companions and huffaz (Muslims who had memorized the Qur'an) were martyred at Yamama.
Battle location
Currently it is” Aqrabaa” in northeast of Al-jibaila valley, 40km North of Al-Riayd city.
There is Zayd bin al-Khattab tomb and many companions’s tombs.
Aqrabaa is connected to Al-jibaila valley” which was inhabited, it had many gardens, so they are mentioned always together but now it is less populated.
