Dervish House (Blagaj Tekke)

Overview:

It is one of the most important landmarks in Bosnia and Herzegovina and is also known as the Monastery of the Dervishes.

The building was built to host Sufi brotherhood gatherings.

It is a wooden building located beside the green Buna River flowing rapidly into a dark cave cliff.

The building reflects the Ottoman architecture that was present in this era, and fortunately, this place was unharmed during the Bosnian war, despite the damage to all city buildings.

The place is now one of the sacred places for the locals, and you can visit the place at night when it is less crowded and for a small fee, and you can take a boat trip in the cave.
