Turk Tower (Borg Al Turk)
Overview:
One of the most important tourist places in Mostaganem, which dates back to the Ottoman era, specifically during the period from the 16th to the 18th century, and it is a military reconnaissance tower located at the eastern edge of the city and overlooks several historical neighborhoods, which are El Matmar and Tigditt from the west and El Arsa from the east.
This landmark was used in the colonial period in monitoring the city and at independence until 1980 AD, a restoration process was carried out in 1998 AD, and it was classified nationally in the same year and became a museum of antiquities in 2004 AD.
