Overview:
• It is one of the most famous tourist areas in Setif, Algeria, where a statue in the form of a half-naked woman was brought from the Louvre Museum in France and placed on a spring of fresh water. It is considered one of the important symbols in Setif, as it was built in 1898 AD.
• Alabaster and white stone were used in the construction of the fountain, and it is distinguished by its geographical location in the center of the famous Independence Square, but the statue was subjected to a lot of criticism and it was destroyed twice, the first time was in 1997 and the second was in 2017.
