• It was mentioned in a long hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said: Gabriel said: “Come down and pray, so I went down and prayed. He said, “Do you know where you prayed?, you prayed in Bethlehem, where Jesus, peace be upon him, was born….etc.
• Bethlehem: is a place near Bait Al-Maqdis.

• Bethlehem is one of the main cities in the Bethlehem Governorate, located in the north of the governorate, 10 km (6 miles) south of the Old City of Jerusalem. It is bordered on the east by the city of Beit Sahour- Bayt Sahur, on the west by the cities of Beit Jala- Bayt Jala and Doha, on the north by Jerusalem and the village of Sur Baher, and on the south by Solomon's Pools and the villages of Al-Khader and Irtas.
