Battle of Olasch
Overview:
It is a battle fought by the Ottoman army on Muharram 28, 1108 AH, corresponding to June 27, 1696 under the leadership of Sultan Mustafa II against the Habsburg army and the German army, especially the Saxons who settled in Banat province and therefore they were called Banat Germans, and the Ottomans won.
The current location: The battle took place in Olasch, near Timisoara, in present-day western Romania. Timisoara is the capital of Timiş Province, and Timiş is a river located near this city.
