Overview
This school is located in the neighborhood of Hawanet Ashour (Hafsid). It was founded by Ali Pasha in 1160 AH / 1746 AD, and he made it a school for students of the Maliki school of thought and provided it with a library containing more than 353 manuscripts.
The school includes a spacious entrance, a chapel, and a foyer surrounded by accommodation rooms, and there are annexes on the upper floor.
It is the only school that has a minaret, and outside the school a book opens on the approach of Ashour. It was restored in the seventies and is currently home to various cultural associations.
