Historic overview:
• In the Name of Allah the most Merciful "Alif, Lam, Meem (1) The Byzantines have been defeated (2) in the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome (3) within three to nine years. To Allah belongs the command before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice (4) in the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful (5) [It is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know."
•The interpreters say that the place of the battle is between Daraa and Busra, and it was reported from Ibn Abbas, As-Suddi and Muqatil that the place of the battle is between Jordan and Palestine.
Current location:
• The Jordan Valley is a flat land, located in the middle of a groove that extends along the border between Palestine and Jordan, and in which dozens of Palestinian and Jordanian villages are based.
•It is the lowest point in the world below sea level. The groove extends from the northern corner of the Dead Sea to the southeastern corner of Lake Tiberias, the eastern part of which is located in Jordan, while the western part is located in Palestine.
