Battle of Sagrajas
Overview:
The battle was in 479A.H (1086), between the army of al-Mu'tamid with Almoravid and Castilian King Alfonso VI.
Within three days, the battleground was full of Corpses, the King Alfonso VI escaped from the battlefield and large number of his army were killed.
It is called Sagrajas because the Muslims horses were slipping because of the tremendous amount of blood shed this day.

It took place at the plain of Sagrajas near to Badajoz city that located in Extremadura region, Spain and it is situated close to the Portuguese border.
