The Castle of Saint George stands next to Isabel II bridge, It has a grim reputation as it was the seat of the Spanish Inquisition since 1481 till 1785.
In the 19th century, a big part of the castle was demolished and now it became a museum that focuses on the history of the Spanish Inquisition.
