Buen Retiro Park
Overview:
It is one of the largest public parks of the city of Madrid. Buen Retiro Park is located in central Madrid, very close to the Puerta de Alcalá. It is about 1.4 km2 and it is known as palacio de Cristal del Retiro.
It was built in the late 19th century, in Gothic style and it is considered one of the most popular destinations in Madrid, it is as full of museums as El Prado Museum.
It is the home to more than 15,000 trees and a lot of flowers, in addition to the cypress tree, the oldest tree in Spain.
