Overview:
• The National Archives is located in the city center in the old building of the Bank of India.
• It contains more than forty thousand documents, in addition to the collection of African historical collections that were collected during the nineteenth century.
• The building's foundation dates back to 1965 AD under the management of the Minister of Interior.
Contents of the Museum:
• The ground floor contains an exhibition known as "Murumbi Gallery" after the second vice president of Kenya "Joseph Murumbi". It has now turned into one of the largest African art galleries, which includes a collection of beautiful artworks that express the cultures of African societies. It also has a library which includes the most valuable books and documents.
• It is considered one of the tourist attractions that attract visitors, especially students who use documents, books and references in them, in addition to the exhibition in it, which displays handmade products, valuable souvenirs and household furniture that you can obtain.
