Overview:

• The National Museum in Nairobi is an educational way to spend a few hours in the city, and is located 10 minutes by car from the center of the city.

• It is one of the main museums in Kenya, and one of its oldest museums, it was built in 1929 AD.

• The museum includes several art and cultural exhibitions and distinctive exhibits about natural history, as well as ethnological exhibitions, and a distinctive exhibition called "The History of Kenya", which takes you on an exciting journey through the history of Kenya and East Africa.

• The museum displays more than 900 mummified birds, mammals and fossils from Lake Turkana, as well as the different ethnicities of the Kenyan tribal groups.

• At the Geology Exhibit, visitors can explore an impressive group of rocks and minerals and learn about plate tectonics and the life cycle of a volcano.
