The Jewish cemeteries in Alexandria were built on the ancient Jewish architectural heritage, as Alexandria includes three cemeteries for the Jews who had resided in the city since the second half of the nineteenth century.
The first great cemetery is located in Khartoum Square in Al Azarita region in the Latin District, the second cemetery is in Ash Shatebi area, and the third cemetery is in the Shallalat area in Bab Sharqi district.
