Overview:
Umgeni River Park is located in the riverside area on the northern bank of the Umgeni River.
The park contains more than 200 different species of birds, some of which are the only ones of their kind in Africa.
In the beginning, it was a special project for a number of bird fanciers, whose goal was to introduce people to the various types of birds coming from all over the world, and the garden has subsequently turned into an important attraction and gained global attention for its uniqueness and its containing rare birds.
Visitors can see a variety of local species in addition to birds coming from Southeast Asia and Australia, and they can walk through the landscapes and green waterfalls.
