Hima Wells – The Makers of the Pit Story

Historic overview:

Hima wells, located northeast of Najran, about 100 km away, are an archaeological area full of the Sabaean and Himyari inscriptions. The most important thing that draws attention is an inscription on one of the mountains of Hima. This inscription is dated back to 633 at the Himyari time, corresponding to approximately 518 AD, which indicates that Najran was invaded in this period, that equals 100 years before the migration. The Belgian orientalist "Konzak Rikmans", a professor of Semitic languages at the University of Louvain, who came to Najran with the second Philippine expedition had previously translated the translation of this inscription and published it in his magazine La musion. Then this inscription was translated to the Arabic language.

Current location:

Hima center is 120 km north of Najran, 885 km south of Riyadh.
