Almagams: An object name of dipping the thing in the water and keeping it in water for a long time.
Almagams is a location near Mecca in Taif Road.
Abu Regal died there and his grave is being stoned because he was the owner of the elephant.
In the Dictionary of the country names and locations” by Bakri:
Almagams: Located at the end of Haram, it is the place where the elephant of Abraha stopped. When Abraha came to check it, they tried to push the elephant with bayonets, and the elephant did not move. Then God sent them the birds of Ababel and destroyed them.
Current location:
Al-Maghams valley, or Green Valley, is one of Mecca’s valleys, adjacent to Arafat Mountain from the north-east side, connecting it with Hanin valley. From the north, it is bordered by al-Safah Mountain. From the south, it is bordered by Arafat Mountain, from the east by Saad and Kabkab Mountain, and from the west by the Mountains of Tariki, Snout and Salaa.
