• The bathhouse was built on the ruins of the historic Baths of Xuxippus.

• Although she used it only twice, but “Hürrem Sultan”, the wife of the Ottoman Sultan, “Suleiman the Magnificent,” had the merit of creating “Ayasofya Hürrem Sultan” bath, which is visited until today by celebrities and tourists in the world, due to its historical position and the services it provides.

• The date of its establishment dates back to when the “Hürrem Sultan” requested the bath, so the Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent issued the order of building in the year 1556 AD, “Sinan”, the most famous architect in the Ottoman Empire start its construction. He built the bathroom 75 meters in length from two equal parts for women and men, to be the largest that he designed in his life.

Architectural description:

• The bath has two domes in one line. The dome of cold section is 24 meters high.

• 160 gilded bowls were made for guests to use.

• In cold section there are honorary rooms, 48 dressing rooms, a restaurant, a hairdressing place, a coiffure room, massage rooms, a lounge area in the terrace, a vitamin bar, and there is also a boutique selling products for the " Ayasofya Hürrem Sultan" bath.

• There is a place called a dressing place under a large dome of 26 mm in size to spend fun times and chatting between friends.
