Aga Bath (Aga Hamami)

Overview:

• One of the oldest and most prestigious Turkish baths in Istanbul, it is the first Turkish bath to offer many services mixed between traditional Turkish bath services and new services.

Historic overview:

• It was built in 1454 AD and was the first Turkish bath in Istanbul, and it was the private bath of Sultan "Mehmed the Conqueror" and the Ottoman royal dynasty. They used it until the last days before the collapse of their empire.

• The bath underwent extensive renovations in 1844 AD, when it was no longer serving the needs of the Ottomans.

• It was opened to the public in 1923, the bath attracts tourists who want to try an inseparable bath or couples who want to try an authentic Turkish bath together.
