The Altindere National Park
Overview:
• Turkey is famous for a number of national parks and gardens, especially in Trabzon, including the "Altindere National Park".

Architectural description:
• The park is located exactly an hour away from Trabzon, which is located on the Black Sea coast. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the historical region which is located in Trabzon, western Turkey.
• It contains "Sumela Monastery", one of the main sites in the Altindere park known as "The Virgin Mary", It was an ancient center of Christianity that had an important position in history. Its real founder was Alexius III (1349-1390) and was extended in the nineteenth century.
• The total area of the national Park is 4,300 hectares and 901 forests.
• The park is known on a global scale because of its green forests and all that it contains of distinctive trees of oak, chestnut, pine, fruit trees, flowers and beautiful plants. It is a shelter for wild animals such as wolves, goats, snakes and wild goats.
