Sera Lake (Sera Gölü)
Overview:
It is a beautiful tourist lake, located in the state of Turkey, twenty-five kilometres from the city of Trabzon. It was formed from the winter torrents and its waters were mixed with the greenery of trees that lined it on each side.
Historic overview:
The land of Sera Lake was formed as a result of a landslide that occurred in the Akcaabat district of Trabzon.
The lake was formed after February 21, 1950 as a result of rainwater gathering in the low-lying area between this number of surrounding mountains, which made this produce a small lake in terms of size but it has a high position, as it became one of the most important tourist areas in Turkey.
The area of the lake is 4 kilometres long, and the depth is 2 meters and there is a park overlooking the lake, offering a variety of restaurants and cafes with a children's play area.
