Al Qahra Mountains

Historic overview:

Muzahim Al-Aqili, a resident of Wadi Al-Dawasir in the second century AH, and a dispute occurred between him and a man from Bani Jadha over water. They fought with their sticks, and Muzahem killed the man.

His tribe, Banu Jada, filed a complaint to the governor of al-Yamamah, so Muzahim was imprisoned for a long time, then he escaped from prison, so he stayed with his people for a while.

Here, we see Muzahim who believes that the mountains of Qahra are a suitable haven for hiding and linking them to the Arwa Mountains that we see now near the Wadi ad-Dawasir road.

Current location:

• " Al Qahra Mountains", extending from north to south, about 110 km, and an average of 20 km wide.

• "Al-Qahra Mountains" are distinct in their shape, as they are great chains with narrow, not open rivers, and their plateaus are not very high, and they are similar in shape and color between shakra and red, and they are considered sandstone, but they are not crumbling like sandstone in the north of the queen. They are stiffer and often we see them. Covered with a layer of rock the size of a palm or larger.

• Its historical fame goes back to its mention in the commentary "Labid bin Rabia"
