Saiysad National Park
Overview:
Saiysad National Park is located northeast of the city of Taif and is considered one of the most important tourist areas in Saudi Arabia, distinguished by its beautiful nature.
The park stands out as a natural reserve surrounded by mountains covered with dense trees and vast green spaces, as well as its natural water springs.
Saiysad National Park hosts a number of valleys in the region, such as Wadi Saiysad, in addition to the well-known Wadi Al-Arj.
The park got its name due to its association with the famous archaeological dam "Saiysad", which was built by the companion (Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan) in 677 AD.
The area was restored, including its antiquities, during the year 1998 AD, then it was opened to start receiving visitors in the year 1999 AD.
