History:
The wheel was installed in the Netherlands, then transferred to Paris for three years. Afterwards, it was moved to Manchester.
The wheel was first installed in 2004 which was a success and consequently a larger 60-metre wheel was erected in May 2007. It is one of the largest Ferris wheels in the world.
The wheel has 42 capsules allowing the visitor to see the most fascinating scenery of the city accompanied by a voice commentary explaining the various features and buildings in the city.
