Overview:
• One of the charming landmarks in the city of Seoul is “Lotte World - 롯데월드”, which is considered one of the most famous, largest and most beautiful amusement parks in the whole world, and one of the most prominent tourist places in South Korea.
• It was opened in 1998 AD, and the amusement park is represented by two cartoon characters: “Lotty,” the male raccoon. He is the mascot of “Lotty World,” and he has a girlfriend named “Lorry,” and of course she is a female raccoon, as is the case in “Disneyland,” whose logo is the two mice, Mickey and Mimi Mouse.
• Lotte World is the most prominent place for filming many films and series, such as the Korean drama “Stairway to Heaven.”
• Lotte World organized the World Bomb Festival in 2006, and is famous for the wonderful games it has, such as the Atlantis Adventure, Water Tracks, Magic Island, Compass, Swing, and Magic Castle.
• Lotte World amusement park is located in the Jamsil neighborhood, east of the capital, Seoul. It is also located near the Jamsil metro station on the second green line, and can therefore be easily reached by the Seoul subway.
Architectural description:
• “Lotte World” consists of an open amusement park called “Magic Island,” which is an artificial island surrounded by lake. The city includes 17 different games, including the game of free fall.
• It also includes an indoor amusement park called “Adventure,” which includes 22 different games that you can enjoy. It is also worth noting that the “Adventure” amusement park holds a large number of dazzling festivals and processions in different times of the year.
• Lotte World amusement park is also divided into two parks: the indoor entertainment park called “Theme Park,” and the outdoor entertainment park called “Amusement Park.”
• “Lotte World” also includes a popular museum in which you can learn about South Korea, its people and its history. The museum is divided into 6 wings: (a wing for prehistoric times - wings for the Three Korean Kingdoms - a wing for the Gaya Kingdom - and a wing for the Goryeo Kingdom).
• The museum contains several areas that can be viewed (the historical performance hall, a miniature village), and areas in which the visitor can participate (the performance hall, the traditional Korean market). The museum introduces visitors to the "Traditional Wedding Square", which is the style of traditional Korean weddings and marriage ceremonies.
