Overview:
Seoul Grand Park - 서울대공원" is one of the most important and largest parks in the world.
The park is located on a vast area within the city of Seoul and is considered one of the tourist attractions in South Korea.
The park holds many cultural events throughout the year, such as horse races that are held every week, and running competitions and other events are held.
Architectural description:
It is divided into several parts, each part is independent, but they are all inside the park:
Zoo for adults: It is the first zoo built in South Korea, as it was opened in 1909 AD. The park includes many different wild animals such as kangaroos, tigers, camels, orangutans, and other animals.
A zoo for children: where children can see and get close to pets and animals that can be raised at home, such as cattle, goats, rabbits, and others.
Seoul Museum of Modern Art: which displays works of art by both Korean and international artists. The museum also displays works of art by famous contemporary artists, and inside the museum there is a permanent exhibition in addition to temporary exhibitions that are held for a period of only three or four months.
“Seoul Land” amusement park: which includes a large group of entertainment games, in addition to that you can go up to Samcheonri Hill to be able to see the city of Seoul from above. Soeul Land Park also includes an adventure theatre, and another theater for watching movies and other things. Soeul Land is located in the middle of Mount Qingsun and is surrounded by trees and greenery.
Botanical Garden: It is the largest botanical garden in Korea and contains many plants such as tropical plants, cacti, orchids and others, in addition to a lake and walking paths.
The National Museum of Science: which is concerned with science and technology.
