• “Buttrotum or Butrint” is that tourist park famous for its antiquity and beauty, which sits on one of the large hills overlooking the "Channel of Vivari", and is located in the Vlorë County, of Albania, about 14 km south of Sarandë near the Greek border.

• The park includes artifacts and architectural structures dating back to different historical periods, from the Bronze Age to the nineteenth century.

• There are many major monuments still standing including the city walls, baptistery, a great church, theater and castles.

• These monuments are surrounded by natural forests with complex ecosystems that depend on fresh water from the nearby "Lake Butrint", which flows into the "Ionian Sea".
